Access Consciousness had outgrown its digital commerce platform. An outdated website, limited language capabilities, and ongoing usability challenges were making it increasingly difficult to support a global business. And the business itself was anything but straightforward. Thousands of independent facilitators offered classes around the world, each with unique schedules, pricing, and certification requirements, while customers needed an easy way to discover courses, purchase products, and progress through their learning journeys.

Building Around the Business
In 2015, Access Consciousness partnered with Luminos Labs to rethink the technology behind that experience. Together, we built a commerce platform designed around their unique business model, bringing courses, products, customer accounts, payments, and certification pathways into one connected ecosystem.
We also developed tools that allowed facilitators to create and promote classes, manage registrations, and build their own businesses within the Access Consciousness network. With multilingual and multicurrency capabilities, the platform helped support the organization's operations across more than 170 countries.
The result was a more cohesive experience for customers and facilitators, while giving internal teams greater flexibility to manage content and day-to-day operations.
Growing and Evolving Together
The original platform was just the beginning. As Access Consciousness expanded its offerings, we helped bring learning beyond physical classrooms through livestreaming and on-demand video, made it easier for customers to discover relevant content, and continued introducing capabilities to support changing business needs.
Our role evolved alongside the platform. From improving the customer experience to modernizing the technology behind it, we've continued working with Access Consciousness to keep its digital ecosystem aligned with the needs of the business.
Today, the platform supports approximately 12,000 monthly active facilitators and 4,000 monthly active classes, reflecting the scale and complexity of the global network it serves.
